The Six Nations is here: where to watch around the world!
February and March are some of our

The 2019 #GuinnessSixNations begins with our boys out in Paris in the Stade de France, and we wanted to let you know some of the key places to catch the games around the world with your fellow Welsh supporters. Although last year was a win for Ireland, Wales came in at second place, winning all three of their home games against Scotland, Italy and France. Many are considering (and hoping) that we may just be the underdogs who can win it this year. With home fixtures in mighty Cardiff against Ireland and England this year, and as Warren Gatland’s last as Wales head coach, we have faith that our boys can take the title this year like they did in 2005, 2008, 2012 and 2013!
Here are the fixtures for the Wales team this year:
- France – Stade de France – Friday, February 1st
- Italy – Stadio Olimpico – Saturday, February 9th
- England – Principality Stadium – Saturday, February 23rd
- Scotland – Murrayfield – Saturday, March 9th
- Ireland – Principality Stadium – Saturday, March 16th
Places to watch:
United Kingdom Will you be in the British Capital this year for the 6 Nations? Want to avoid the English fans until we’ve wiped the floor with them on the pitch?! Then join your fellow supporters at the home of London Welsh Rugby, Old Deer Park in Richmond, where they are promising a mini-Principality Stadium atmosphere for the 6 Nations game between Wales and England!
Another option is to head to the London Welsh Centre instead. They are welcoming hundreds of supporters in the Main Hall and you won’t miss a thing with their huge 170 square foot screen showing the game!

Belgium
The Welsh Society of Brussels have your back if you will be in Belgium over the 6 Nations this year! You will find them at their recommended pub, The Wild Geese, in the heart of the EU Quarter of Brussels. Known for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, a long history of expat support and a great range of beer, you are sure to feel at home.
France
If you are lucky enough to have a ticket for the game France versus Wales game, you can catch the Paris-Welsh Society members for a drink beforehand near the stadium. They will be situated at the end of the ramp that lead from the RER B station La Plaine Stade de France from 7pm onwards.
For the rest of the games, head to the Scottish Auld Alliance pub, a known get-together for society members on match day.
America
In New York this year? The Liberty NYC is THE place to be to catch Welsh rugby in the city! This Mid-Manhattan bar is stylish and spacious, boasting plenty of room to catch the match on their multiple screens.

What about if you are in Pennsylvania? The The St. David’s Society of Pittsburgh invite you to join them at Claddaugh, an Irish bar on the Southside of Pittsburgh.
Canada
According to our friends in Toronto, there is only one option when it comes to watching international sports: Scallywags – a sports Restaurant/Centre at St Claire Ave/Yonge Street in Toronto.
In Vancouver? The Red Dragon pub is a common place to find members of the Vancouver Welsh Society.
New Zealand Rugby, farms and sheep – we have a lot in common with the kiwis! If you are anywhere near Wellington, we recommend the Welsh Dragon Bar, the self-proclaimed “only Welsh Bar in New Zealand”. With Welsh staff, food and most importantly – Welsh beer! You won’t even notice the huge time time difference!
Elsewhere in NZ? It may be an Irish bar, but as a well-known hang out of the Auckland Welsh Club, Munster Inn is going to be a good option – especially for Wales versus Ireland!
Australia
Are you based in the Land Down Under? If so, make sure to say “iechyd da” in Cheers, Sydney’s popular bar on George Street in it’s central business district, a local of the Sydney Welsh Society. They show all the major sports and it’s a great place to catch the match!
What about if you are in Melbourne? You will find the Melbourne Welsh in the Crafty Squire. Not only can you catch the game in good company – you will also be able to sample some of their craft ales from this microbrewery!

Hong Kong
If you are dedicated enough to make it out for the games, despite Hong Kong’s 8 hour time difference, we salute you! We hear that Delaney’s The Irish Pub is the top choice for the St. David’s Society of Hong Kong, the first Irish Pub in Hong Kong opened back in 1994.
Have we missed any? Let us know where you will be congregating on Facebook or Twitter, and send us pictures to show us the fun you are having! And until then, let’s hear you cheer! Come on boys!
