About Kathy
Kathy is a North Wales native, having grown up in Wrexham but moved to Aberystwyth shortly after University. An English Literature and Language Graduate, she studied in Leeds but soon found she missed the green, green grass of home! A passionate traveller, she has journeyed throughout Europe and Latin America, as well as spending time in South East Asia and the United Arab Emirates – always being available to remind people she met that Wales is indeed different from England!

After moving to Aberystywth in 2013, Kathy got a job with Cambria Tours / Cambria DMC, an Aberystwyth- based tour operator who specialises in bringing travellers into Wales, and has been there ever since! She is incredibly enthusiastic about forging connections and showcasing the beauty and uniqueness of Wales, and has proudly promoted her country around the world including China, Mexico, Germany, the US and more.
The last 12 months have been huge for Kathy as she became director of Epic Retreats, started her own PR and Marketing Company (www.sunshinePR.co.uk) and won “Young Person of the Year” in the National Tourism Awards for Wales! Epic Retreats, a selection of Welsh-legend inspired cabins, launched last year and saw widespread international coverage for Wales, including a Channel-4 documentary following the build of which Kathy was also part of!

Both women are fired up to grow the Wales International community and capture the stories of the amazing things happening in and around Wales, as well as talking to those across the globe who have Welsh roots and are flying the flag proudly wherever they go.
If you want to get in touch, contact marketing@walesinternational.cymru and one of them will get back to you! They are happy to communicate in Welsh or English.
